How to clean and maintain a retractable screen

Extend the screen
Pull or motor the screen fully across the opening so you can reach the whole mesh.

Clean the mesh
Mix a little mild soap with water and wipe the mesh gently with a soft cloth or brush. Rinse lightly and let it air dry.

Clear the tracks
Vacuum or dry-brush dirt and debris out of the side and bottom tracks so the screen glides and seals correctly.

Check operation
Run the screen open and closed a few times. It should move smoothly and seat fully; if it binds, clear the track again or call for service.

Retract and store
Return the screen to its housing. Stored out of the sun and weather, the mesh stays protected between uses.
